Mixed Pollinator Seed Balls
Also known as “Seed Bombs,” these are balls of adobe mixture with a packet’s worth of seed in every ball. Each ball can plant roughly one square foot of ground. One bag contains 20 seed balls. $10 per bag

The seed mixture can vary greatly, based on season and availability, but all species included are beneficial to native (North American) pollinators (bees, butterflies, hummingbirds, etc.) as well as honeybees. Every seed blend usually includes at least three species of milkweed, three species of penstemon, red clover and sunflowers, but there can be upwards of a hundred flowering species in a batch. Seed balls also include soil stabilizing (“first colonizer”) species and soil inoculants (beneficial fungi and bacteria) to help ensure the success of the plant species contained therein.

Decorative “Hotels” are made from locally harvested and/or salvaged materials and are designed with precise dimensions and habitat requirements in mind. These hotels provide adequate nesting sites for many native pollinators to lay their young. Each hotel is one-of-a-kind and made by hand. Priced individually
